Udayonmukha Handicrafts is a social impact organisation committed to eliminating bonded labour by creating sustainable livelihoods for survivors primarily women from vulnerable and exploited communities.

We believe that freedom is not charity; it is a right. By enabling dignified, fairly paid work through ethical handicraft production, we support survivors of bonded labour in rebuilding their lives with confidence, independence, and pride.

All products created under Udayonmukha Handicrafts are 100% bonded labour free, ethically made, and rooted in transparency, skill, and human dignity.

The Problem we Address

Bonded labour continues to exist across many sectors, including:

  • Agriculture & sugarcane farms

  • Brick kilns & construction sites

  • Jaggery factories & rock quarries

  • Domestic servitude

  • Garment, bag, footwear & plastic recycling units

  • Small manufacturing units and informal labour sectors

Survivors often face:

  • Generational debt traps

  • Lack of education and employable skills

  • Social exclusion and stigma

  • Economic dependence and exploitation

Udayonmukha Handicrafts exist to break this cycle permanently.
